It is an organization that articulates producers and consumers who seek other ways of producing and consuming food outside the dominant economic circuits. La Imposible is located in Mexico City and the authors of this text participate in its organization. A qualitative methodology is proposed that consists of showing the development and functioning of the project in order to compare it with the conventional economy and with some concepts about other ways of organizing the production, distribution, and consumption of foodstuffs. First, the organizational process of La Imposible is described, pointing out some of the elements that distinguish it from the conventional agri-food system. Secondly, an assessment is made of the network’s scope in terms of the theoretical proposals of food sovereignty, solidarity economy, feminist economy, self-management, and production of the commons. Finally, the limits and contradictions of the organization are problematized, such as sustainability and relations with the State and the market. The analysis corroborates that La Imposible is a concrete alternative that benefits its participants beyond economic exchanges, but that cannot be totally abstracted from the predominant logic of the capitalist economy.</p>}, number={31}, journal={Religación}, author={Bracamontes Nájera, Luis and Espinosa Bonifaz, Irene Sofía and Moreno Reyes, Amiel Aketzali and Franco de los Reyes, Diego Antonio}, year={2022}, month={Mar.}, pages={e210896} }
