@article{Pérez Ramírez_Rodríguez Pérez_2022, title={The performance of public administration in the Fourth Transformation through Governance indicators}, volume={7}, url={https://revista.religacion.com/index.php/religacion/article/view/930}, DOI={10.46652/rgn.v7i33.930}, abstractNote={<p>Currently, the government headed by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in the self-styled “Fourth Transformation” of the Republic, seeks to transform the public administration through the implementation of a republican austerity policy and the fight against corruption that implies the thinning of the bureaucratic apparatus to minimize the cost of government, which under a new style of governing characterized by a greater degree of interaction and cooperation between the State and non-state actors in mixed decision-making between the public and the private, supposes a shared between the good practices of the makers of the policy and the recipients of the political actions. Thus, the main objective of this work is to analyze the degree of performance of the Mexican public administration in the “Fourth Transformation” through the governance indicators established by the World Bank, to know the imprint of its results in the Public Management. The thinning of the bureaucratic apparatus, budget, and program cuts; they do not move away from the cycle of policies implemented in past governments since 1982. The government performance of the “Fourth Transformation” according to the results provided by the indicators in 2020, is failed in governance since these have involuted in recent years that analyzed, the global average considering the sum of the data of the six indicators is 35.39 points out of one hundred possible.
