The methodology used was based on the hypothetical-deductive method during the observation, hypothesis formulation, and verification phases. Among the results obtained, it is highlighted that there are limitations to the homologation and execution of Ecuadorian court rulings in Spain since the Spanish courts can modify the rulings in those cases in which the object of the ruling does not coincide with Spanish law. It is concluded that the homologation and effective enforcement of an Ecuadorian decision on child support in Spain requires cumbersome procedures, as well as a long period of time, resulting in the violation of the constitutional right to the integral development of the child and adolescent.
