COVID-19 and Higher Education. The globalization of e-learning
Abstract
After the closure of universities as a result of the measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic, educational institutions had no choice but to opt for online education. This article analyzes elements in common between the dynamics of communication and teaching modality in Uzbekistan and Spain. It shows that the technological responses, platforms used, as well as the level of acceptance and demand are similar in the two nations. It is concluded that although there is an increase of sources and access to information, this does not mean better learning, in addition, the need for a mixed system for the future and the needs of the new moment posed by the pandemic and post-pandemic around the world is raised.
