Abstract

Occupational stress in the health area is a state of tension that affects workers and reduces the quality of patient care. This study seeks to identify the main psychosocial risks that affect the stress of workers at the first level of care in District 01D06. A non-experimental descriptive quantitative methodology was used to describe the variables without manipulation, analyzing the results in their natural context. Data were obtained through a questionnaire adapted from the Ecuadorian Ministry of Labor, applied to 30 workers in the district. The results indicate that 23.3% and 26.6% of the respondents slightly agree or strongly disagree that their activities do not cause them stress. The most relevant factors include lack of time to complete tasks, lack of guidelines and feedback, poor personal recognition, and limitations in contributing ideas to the team. To mitigate these risks, it is key to implement preventive strategies that improve work organization and provide psychological support to workers. These would contribute to a greater measure of efficiency and well-being in the work environment, benefiting both health professionals and patients.
