Abstract

Burnout in health professionals is seen as a large-scale crisis. This syndrome not only negatively affects their physical and mental well-being, but also impacts the quality of care they provide to patients; Therefore, the present study aims to determine the psychological factors in Burnout Syndrome in the health personnel of the Medical Specialties Center of the city of Cuenca; For which a descriptive, correlational methodological investigation was carried out, the data were collected through questionnaires applied to 25 health professionals currently working, obtaining as a result that emotional exhaustion is strongly associated with burnout syndrome, which highlights the importance of addressing it as a crucial component to prevent and treat burnout in health professionals.
