Abstract

This study explores the relationship between high performance work practices and job satisfaction among health personnel at the Metropolitan Clinic of Riobamba. Its purpose is to develop a theoretical predictive model to analyze how these practices affect job performance. A quantitative methodology with a non-experimental correlational design was used, examining data collected through surveys adapted to clinical contexts applied to 31 intentionally selected collaborators. The results indicated that 83.9% of the staff had higher education; however, 61.3% received less than $1,000 per month as a monthly salary. The analysis showed that work practices significantly influence professional performance (Spearman's coefficient: 0.683; p < 0.001). It is concluded that optimizing both labor practices and satisfaction can significantly improve the performance of the health care team, highlighting crucial elements such as adequate financial compensation and continuous training throughout this process.
