Toxoplasmose do sistema nervoso central e HIV: uma revisão da literatura

Resumo

Na odontologia, avanços notáveis foram feitos nas últimas décadas com foco na eficiência terapêutica e na melhoria da experiência do paciente. Um dos principais desafios nesse campo é acelerar a movimentação dentária, o que pode reduzir a duração dos tratamentos ortodônticos e minimizar o impacto negativo nos tecidos periodontais. Analisar a aplicação da osteotomia e da corticotomia na ortodontia acelerada. Para realizar esta revisão, foi feita uma busca exaustiva em bancos de dados científicos de 2018 a 2023 em inglês e espanhol, usando termos controlados e descritores relacionados à osteotomia, corticotomia e movimentação dentária acelerada. Foram aplicados critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Os 12 estudos revisados mostram que tanto a corticotomia quanto a osteotomia têm um impacto positivo na aceleração do movimento dentário, reduzindo a densidade óssea cortical e diminuindo a resistência ao movimento dentário; a eficácia dessas técnicas pode variar. Tanto a corticotomia quanto a osteotomia são técnicas cirúrgicas valiosas na ortodontia acelerada, com a capacidade de modificar as propriedades do tecido ósseo circundante e facilitar a movimentação dentária.
