The impact of social networks on human relationships in liquid modernity
Abstract
The problem of how to observe the impact of the exploitation of social networks on human relationships in liquid modernity is closely related to the emergence of social networks has transformed the way we relate to each other, raising questions about how it has affected or benefited the quality of human relationships in the era of liquidity, Therefore, it is very important to analyze the impact of social networks on human relationships in the context of liquid modernity, identifying its positive and negative effects, for this, the exploratory qualitative study, using in-depth interviews with users of social networks of various ages and contexts, The qualitative exploratory study, using in-depth interviews with users of social networks of various ages and contexts, will be the support to reach a broader understanding of this current issue, which emulates a reality that in many cases, shows us the results of increased connectivity and access to information, strengthen the existing ties of human relationships by creating new communities of shared environments, where the superficiality in the interactions in building deep relationships, do not reach the addiction and dependence to excessive use of social networks that result negatively in offline relationships, which is why social networks have an ambivalent impact on human relationships. While they facilitate connection and information exchange, they can also generate superficiality, social comparison and dependence. A conscious and balanced use of these technologies is necessary to take advantage of their benefits and reduce their negative effects on society.
