Abstract
This research studies the administrative management applied in the automotive field, with the objective of analyzing the management strategies implemented in the automotive workshops of Cotopaxi - Tanicuchi, aimed at improving productivity and profitability. A descriptive and correlational quantitative approach is adopted, making use of a previously structured questionnaire consisting of ten items with a Likert scale, applied to a population of 20 automotive workshops in the area. The dimensions to be evaluated were administrative planning and management, technological innovation, human talent training, service quality and financial control. Likewise, a Cronbach's alpha (0.992) is determined, demonstrating a high reliability of the applied instrument, while the Shapiro - Wilk test (p < 0.05) justifies the use of non-parametric techniques. The result is a positive and significant improvement between administrative strategies and productivity indicators, highlighting the improvement between the use of technological tools and financial control (ρ = 0.999; p < 0.01). Concluding that strategic planning, process digitalization, and ongoing staff training are key factors for economic and competitive sustainability in the local automotive sector, strengthening business management and evidence-based decision-making.
