Abstract
This study focuses on the design of ecological bricks made with sugarcane bagasse fiber for social interest housing in the Joa community. These houses are intended for low-income families, seeking to offer dignified, sustainable, and enhanced housing solutions. Ecuadorian technical regulations were applied to carry out resistance tests and validate the suitability of the bricks as a construction material. The results demonstrated that the bricks are resistant and comply with standards, thus proposing an economical and ecological alternative to reduce the local housing deficit. The research promotes the use of unconventional regional materials and contributes to sustainable urban development and the improvement of the quality of life in the community.
