The crossroads of Latin American critical Marxism and emancipative praxis
Abstract
In this article we reflect on the importance of re-constructing a conception of Marxism as a practice of life or as a philosophy of praxis and not as “science” and / or only as a doctrine and method. Version of the doctrinaire Marxism that almost always ends up feeling proprietary of the truth and defending conservative interests in the name of Marxism. The hypothesis of a very potent but unofficial Latin American Marxism achieved since the 1920s another link with Marxism in qualitatively superior conditions and overcoming the debate of the “anti-humanists” or “humanists” that was revived in the 60s, 70s, but we also state that they really come from the Russian revolution and its consequences as shown in this article.
