Evento cerebrovascular e forame oval patente: relato de caso
Resumo
O forame oval patente (FOP) é uma anomalia cardíaca congênita que afeta aproximadamente 25% da população e está associada a acidente vascular cerebral isquêmico. O diagnóstico é feito por ecocardiografia transtorácica ou transesofágica. Entretanto, o fechamento do FOP é inconclusivo e não há uma estratégia de tratamento claramente definida. Apresentamos um relato de caso descritivo e retrospectivo, baseado na revisão de prontuários médicos e na compilação de artigos obtidos em bancos de dados como Scopus, Pubmed e Wiley Online Library. A mulher de 63 anos, com histórico de febre reumática, estenose mitral e hipertensão pulmonar leve, é levada ao hospital por alteração da consciência. É feito o diagnóstico de possível acidente vascular cerebral isquêmico, é iniciada terapia anticoagulante e a paciente apresenta melhora no acompanhamento pós-operatório, com monitoramento contínuo e ajustes no tratamento médico.
