Project management and the optimization of spaces for urban sidewalks in small towns: Sancán site case
Abstract
The projection of spaces for urban sidewalks focuses on promoting mobility, safety and quality of life of users, they are fundamental for urban planning, especially in towns such as Sancán, which having many years of foundation shows a depressed image, this approach implied identifying strategies that allow improving urban aesthetics, safety and accessibility for people with disabilities. Functional optimization involves removing obstacles and implementing appropriate ramps; integration of green spaces and landscape elements, shade and rest spaces; improvements in connectivity with other modes of transport; community participation during planning that ensures solutions that respond to the real needs of the inhabitants; rules and regulations related to urban planning requirements. In conclusion, project management and space optimization for urban sidewalks requires a holistic approach that considers both mobility needs and the quality of the urban environment.
