Abstract
The overall objective of this research was to analyze the level of incidence of burnout syndrome on the job performance of public servants of the Valencia Canton Government. Methodologically, the study was conducted using a quantitative approach, descriptive-correlational methods, factor analysis, and Spearman's rho correlation coefficient. The population consisted of 303 employees, and the sample comprised 90 participants selected by simple random sampling. The results showed that burnout factors had adequate explanatory variables with multiple constructs, and job performance was associated with higher levels of flexibility, responsibility, and responsiveness. Similarly, the correlational analysis revealed a statistically significant relationship between the two variables, indicating that job satisfaction is positively related to work performance. In conclusion, burnout is an important organizational factor that affects job performance. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen institutional protection and safety strategies to improve the efficiency of human resources.
