Abstract
The study analyzed the influence of Industry 4.0 technological tools on the efficiency of public vehicle maintenance management in the city of Cuenca. The main objective was to determine how these tools affect the operational efficiency of public vehicle maintenance during 2025, with the purpose of recognizing opportunities for improvement in institutional operating processes. The research was exploratory, descriptive and correlational, using the survey technique applied to 45 officials from administrative and operational areas. The collected data were statistically analyzed with a multiple linear regression model to determine the relationship between the independent variables technological tools 4.0, level of implementation and integration of maintenance systems, and the dependent management efficiency variable. The results showed that the variable that most affects maintenance efficiency is system integration (p = 0.000), while the other variables did not show statistically significant results. It is concluded that the efficiency of institutions is related to the degree of integration and use of technology, which creates a smart management model oriented towards digital transformation and public sector sustainability.
